How to reinstall / upgrade your Blackberry firmware.

1.) Install Blackberry Desktop Manager. Normally the installer is come with the box or you can download the latest version from http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/

2.) Download and install the latest device software from http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp. You can download the firmware from any telco list but MUST make sure the Blackberry model is correct. For example you can not apply device software Blackberry 9500 to Blackberry 9550. Download from your own telco list is strongly recommended. (E.g. if your Blackberry is from Celcom, we are recommended to download the device software / firmware from Celcom.).
Note: Do not open Device Manager after the installation completed.

3.) Connect your Blackberry to USB port. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader. Remove vendor.xml and run Loader.exe

4.) Make sure the Connection is showing your PIN number. Select Next button and wait for the loading until it show the application list.

5.) If you are installing correct device software, the Action status will be shown either Install or Update. Click next to complete the installation. The installation will take about 15minutes to complete.
Note: Please do not stop or unplug your Blackberry during the installation.

6.) After the installation complete, press alt + aA + H to check the firmware version. The App Version will show you the current firmware version.

Notes: Please backup your data before you perform any upgrade.
