How to reinstall / upgrade your Blackberry firmware.

1.) Install Blackberry Desktop Manager. Normally the installer is come with the box or you can download the latest version from http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/

2.) Download and install the latest device software from http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp. You can download the firmware from any telco list but MUST make sure the Blackberry model is correct. For example you can not apply device software Blackberry 9500 to Blackberry 9550. Download from your own telco list is strongly recommended. (E.g. if your Blackberry is from Celcom, we are recommended to download the device software / firmware from Celcom.).
Note: Do not open Device Manager after the installation completed.

3.) Connect your Blackberry to USB port. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader. Remove vendor.xml and run Loader.exe


4.) Make sure the Connection is showing your PIN number. Select Next button and wait for the loading until it show the application list.


5.) If you are installing correct device software, the Action status will be shown either Install or Update. Click next to complete the installation. The installation will take about 15minutes to complete.  
Note: Please do not stop or unplug your Blackberry during the installation.

6.) After the installation complete, press alt + aA + H to check the firmware version.The App Version will show you the current firmware version.

Notes: Please backup your data before you perform any upgrade.

How to Install Chinese Input to Your Blackberry!

1.) Install Blackberry Desktop Manager. Normally the installer is come with the box or you can download the latest version from http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/

2.) Download and install Blackberry Firmware with Chinese pack. Click http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp to download the appropriate pack. Normally the firmware bundle with Chinese Input will end with EastAsia or AsiaLanguage, if you can not find the correct version, you can try to download from other telco site. Do not open Device Manager after the installation completed.

3.) Connect your Blackberry to USB port. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader. Remove vendor.xml and run Loader.exe


4.) Make sure the Connection is showing your PIN number. Select Next button and wait for the loading until it show the application list.


5.) Select your Chinese input method from East Asian Language and Input Support. Click next to complete the installation. The installation will take about 15minutes to complete. Please do not stop or unplug your Blackberry during the installation.

6.) After installation complete you can change your Input method by pressing Alt + Enter button.

Configure your BIS

How to add and update email account to your Blackberry.

You can configure your email account setting from your Blackberry or Website.

Method 1: Create your BIS account from website. Login to your telco BIS website. You can refer below URL for your telco BIS address.

Celcom user login to: http://www.mobileemail.vodafone.com.my/
Maxis user login to: http://www.maxis.blackberry.com/
Digi user login to: http://digi.my.blackberry.com/

Select Create New Account if you are new user.


Follow the simple steps you can create a new account for your Blackberry.

TIPS: To get your Device PIN and Device IMEI press Alt + aA + H button from your Blackberry.


NOTE: If your BIS not activated you will not allow to register your Blackberry.

After login to your BIS account, you can start to create your email account by clicking Set Up Email button.


Select Add an existing email account. Enter your email address and password.


After successful created your email account. Your Blackberry will auto added the email account.

TIPS: From BIS website you can customize your Signature, Synchronize settings and Resend Service Books.
